Winston-Salem is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Winston-Salem is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Per usual, I was in Downtown Winston-Salem during lunch so I hiked down to this local bar. I got the $10 Classic Burger special. I knew I was in for a treat when I walked in because at 1200 hours it was already PACKED. That's usually always a good sign! I decided on a bar seat & ordered the $10 Classic Burger special, available on Mondays. I also had an iced tea & house made potato chips. There was a bit of a wait for my order as the house was packed but when I received it, I was not disappointed! The burger was well done, juicy & delicious, the veggies were fresh. The bun was toasted & given a good spread of butter. The house made chips were phenomenal! Reminiscent of a spot I used to frequent Down East. Overall, my experience was too notch! The wait staff was attentive & they were all smiling like they enjoyed their jobs as well as their coworkers & the customers. This was a great experience. I just couldn't have a drink as I had to return to work. I 10/10 recommend you stop by here for a bite & a brew!

Have a friend from Buffalo NY who claimed this was the most Buffalo place in Winston-Salem. Said friend brought me here, and forced me to eat the beef-on-weck- not like a beef and radish water boarding situation, but still involved peer pressure or whatever. This whole situation worked, as I soon started stuffing my own face with the beef and radish. Do yourself a favor, head down here, order yourself one, and realize that for all these years- Arbyโ€™s was a gateway drug to falling in love with Hungry Palate.

My boyfriend was in town this weekend and he is originally from Buffalo. So I took him here for Valentineโ€™s Day but truly for actual Beef on Weck that I know he misses! I called a couple days ago to check on where to park bc I donโ€™t go downtown very often, Kim was soooo helpful on the phone! Our bartender Charity (sp?) at lunch was sooooooo awesome!!! Best bartender or server weโ€™ve had in foreverโ€ฆ. & Iโ€™ve been a server for 24yrs! She was awesome! We will definitely be back!!!! Ty for making our day start out so perfectly!!!

I had an awesome experience here for first time. Not only did Charity greet with a smile but she very friendly and attentiveall night. Plus they have Trivia on TV. Thats great when you are a table of 1. A lot of fun. I had tacos [taco tuesday] and margaritas. Fantastic. This place is a lot of fun. I was traveling and I definitely will be back when I am in town again.

We discovered a new place for us to have lunch in Winston Salem. Eclectic atmosphere and great service from Charity, our bartender. My wife had some meaty chicken tenders with a pile of delicious fries. I had to have the Beef on wreck with four wings. I chose the Siraccha/Habanero sauce, which was delicious. The thing that drew me to the beef was the Costanzoโ€™s Kimmelweck roll from NY. Smothered in coarse salt and caraway. Great sandwich.
